The 120 SR is my training heli and so far has been working out well. Red Rocket had a great price and the free shipping sealed the deal.

As the owner of a blade 450 3d, I purchased this heli because I was in trouble with nose in hovers. I have a Mac pc, so flight sims were pretty much out of the question... or buy a new pc and a sim. As I am teaching myself to fly, this was the answer for me. The stable platform this heli offers allowed me to learn nose in without the cost of crashing the bigger bird and I have another heli. For those of you out there, whom like myself, may have purchased a heli more than you can handle... please put the big one away and try this, or at least, use one to learn the other. That is what I am doing, and my skills have greatly improved. BTW.... for all questions you may have... rchelicopterfun.com

Like the reviewer above, I have both the MSR as well as the 120. Coming from the co-axials they both have a relatively steep learning curve, but do-able. Hours (and hours) of fun both indoors (MSR) as well as out doors in a light wind.
Makes a warm evening even more fun outside. Highly suggest both models for both the learning factor as well as total, unadulterated grins.

I'm a fan of the Blade Mcx and Msr helis and after reading the pre-intro Web chatter about the 120 SR, I pre-ordered mine from Red Rocket. To me, it is the perfect step up from the Msr. Yes, ti's basically an enlarged Msr, but it gives me the capability of doing what I've always wanted...To fly it outdoors in a light breeze. In fact, I do much better with it outside as it just seems a little too large and fast to do much more than hover indoors.
I'm really getting the knack of flying the 120 SR outside, and it's making me think for the first time that I might be able to advance to CP helis.
