The Wolds Toughest Drone Airframe By Game of Drones
Does NOT include flight electronics or motors. Frame ONLY.
The Indestructible Sumo Quad may not be the first airframe you buy,
but it will probably be the last.
Is your Action-Sports airframe waterproof?
No, and yes. Our airframe is built for damage resistance, not waterproofing. However our design does make it naturally resistant to rainy weather and paintball attacks, so it's pretty well covered in that respect for most fliers. Turning our airframe into a water-based drone requires some easy mods, but if you can build a drone, you can do this mod. It won't create a drone that can be completely submerged under water, but it will be able to take-off and land on calm water easily. It should also be able to survive splashdowns and hard water landings without difficulty.
Can your drone lift a GoPro or other cameras? How does the GoPro mount to the airframe?
Aerial cinematography is a perfect use of our drones. Adding a gimbal is also easy - just requires some landing gear. The good thing about our airframe is how easy it is to mod for your needs, since it can work with just about any standard gear. I use the standard GoPro mounts with high quality 2-sided tape and a few zipties for a leash, but otherwise we keep it simple, easy to fix and upgrade.
Is your airframe really Indestructible? Unbreakable? Bulletproof? The world's Toughest?
Our drone was designed to be the most durable airframe available to the hobbyist and small UAV pilot, and I really think we have achieved that goal. We have stomped on it, thrown it into walls and through windows, dropped it from hundreds of feet, flown through fire, landed on water and crashed literally hundreds of times. And we also shot it several times at close range with a 12 gauge shotgun loaded with heavy dove ammo, and the airframe was little more than scuffed and was up and flying within 5 minutes with a new motor and fresh zip-ties.
Our airframes survive abuse FAR in excess of that you would expect to encounter in normal action-sports drone flying.
