at first i couldn't even get it into the air without crashing in the first five seconds, but when I did get it to fly, the throttle kept shutting off for a second or two witch ended in a crash that broke the carbon stick. Once i had taped it and made a splint for it I tried again. the third flight was definitly the best. flying for about 8 minutes. I was impressed with how easy it was to fly. When I tried to recharge the battery it wouldn't for no reason, i have tried and tried to get the charger to work. So because of the charger's inability to charge I have had only one successful flight.

Tailboom broke + propeller lost
No way to fix tailboom.
Attempt flight in ZERO wind only!

Fun to fly, it's a hand full. Learn to fly on a Super Cub or other good trainer. Keep the Phantom for fun flies..Go on line and download the free flight simulator FMS.. Practice with that and when you can fly it well, you will love the phantom. It does ot have a repairable radio. The servos are part of the electronics. When it fails buy a new plane. I have 2 of these. One servo failed but I was able to fix it. The people at Red Rockte have bent over backwards for me. I do recommend them. IF you want a toss in the car, go flying and do it cheaply then the Phantom has your name on it. IF you want to learn to fly it's a no no. The price has gone up since I bought mine. If they get over 75 bucks with shipping I would spend my money on a better plane.

This plane is fun t fly, relatively cheep, but horrible for a long lasting plane. i bought this as my first plane, did research, watched the videos, went out to fly it... Crash. the enteral componets broke. I am i fairly compitent electrition, tried fixing it, and failed. I bought another one, hopeing the last time was just my fault. flew it for about 5 mins, had a light crash and got a big break on the boom. Looked it up, tis is a fairly common accident. and it is almost impossible to fix it %100 without buying anyother fusaloge.
I would HIGHLY recomend that you do NOT but this as your first airplane. it is too light to fly in even the smallest of wind, crash prone, and breaks in un-fixable ways. I suggest shilling out a little bit more money and buying a more explensive, but long lasting airplane.

The Phantom is my second RC aircraft. I learned to fly on it. Its pain was my gain. You can't go wrong for the bucks...just don't crash it. Almost any impact will cause the tail boom to fracture at the point where the stiff wire elevator control rods exit. I broke two (2) within the first week. That was landing/crashing into a soft pasture. I forked over $35 (plus shipping) for a new fuselage before I found that I could repair the broken tail boom with some ballpoint pen halves and the kind of chemical reaction epoxy that you can purchase in an auto parts store. The repaired booms are actually much stronger now than new.
The Phantom is easy to fly and a bunch of fun but I wouldn't recommend it for beginners because beginners crash planes. Try to find something a bit more sturdy.
