Melissa and Doug got started in August of 1988. While still dating, the company was actually started in Doug's parents garage. In 1991 they began making thier own toys and the first wooden toy was known as the "The Fuzzy Farm Puzzle". Since that time they have grown into one of the most well known toy makers in the country. Melissa and Doug toys are very high quality and you can count on them to last. They also promote learning and development which we really like.
