Super Cub and Simulator Best way to start. |

I have tried several planes recently to get into the hobby. Then a friend pointed me to the Super Cub. Another friend, a very accomplished helicopter pilot, recommended a simulator first. I researched and chose FS1 (also from Red Rockets). After several hours on the simulator, I took the Super Cub out for a spin. I took off , flew around and landed beautifully now 3 times w/o mishap.
I highly recommend a simulator then the Super Cub. FS1 is very close to the real thing.
Only issue is that the supplied 7.2v battery is under powered.

I have wanted to get into RC planes since I was a kid, however the hobby can be a bit intimidating for beginners. That said, sometimes you just need to jump in head first and that's what I did with the HobbyZone Supercub. After alot of research I narrowed in on the Supercub as the perfect starter plane, both for ease of use and ease on the Wallet. After about 45 minutes of constuction I was out flying and flying well! The Supercub is responsive and fun and is an excellent first step into the hobby. The Scale of the plane looks great and only adds to the enjoyment of flying. I highly recommend the Supercub to anyone debating the purchase of an RC plane.
