The Fast-Changing World of the RC Aircraft
Remote control hobbies have come a long way since their early beginnings. RC aircraft and RC helicopters have evolved so much as of late thanks to so many technological innovations from so many passionate visionaries, that they are unrecognizable to the hobbyists of a generation ago. Aside from aerodynamic designs and smooth handling, RC aircrafts are now equipped with state of the art video cameras and even accurate GPS systems. With so many exciting changes in the field of radio control, and many more sure to come, it is certainly a great time to get involved. It can be a little overwhelming at first, trying to get an understanding of the different manufacturers, designs, and various add-ons, but that is what we are here for.
Our staff at Red Rocket Hobby Shop consists of enthusiastic modelers, who enjoy keeping up to speed with the radio control industry. We have found that today’s high-tech RC helicopters and airplanes have an amazing way of rekindling the fascination that we had for flying when we were children. They are also fun to work on in pairs, coming together to plan, build, and eventually watch as your product sails through the sky, capturing images from its superb vantage point. That is something that both experts and beginners can appreciate.
RC Vehicles and Radio Control Boats
Radio control cars and boats too have adapted as more technology has become available. Gone are the days when remote control trucks were connected to the control by a 15-foot chord. Now we have trucks that can go off-roading or zoom down a race track, and radio control boats that can go up to 50mph out of the box.
